Dr Cori’s approach

Dr Cori is a colorectal surgeon committed to achieving the best clinical outcomes for her patients. Her approach is holistic with equal emphasis on achieving good quality of life, with the surgery being only one component of the overall care of her patients. Many of the conditions that Dr Cori manages are sensitive and patients often wait a long time to seek medical attention due to embarrassment. Dr Cori takes her time with each consultation and ensures that patients feel relaxed and secure.

Dr Cori has had extensive general and sub-speciality colorectal training both nationally and internationally and has introduced novel techniques to the hospitals where she works, including laser fistula and VAAFT techniques.

In-person and remote Consultations

Dr Cori consults and operates privately at St Vincent's Private Hospital and Epworth Freemasons in Melbourne. Publicly, Dr Cori works at St Vincent's Hospital  Fitzroy and The Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.

Testimonials

“For the past nine years, I have struggled with pain that no doctor, surgeon or specialist has been able to tell me what the problem was. Other than it was in my head, and I should meditate. I presented to the emergency department and that is where I met Dr Cori, after her thorough investigation, she found the problem and from there we worked on a plan to fix it. The care that I have received fixing this problem has been phenomenal. I will be forever grateful to Dr Cori for the level of care, compassion and commitment she has shown me and not to mention the fact that she has improved my quality of life immensely. ” - 37F

“Dr Cori has improved my bowel problems. After bowel cancer in 2004, I’ve suffered from incontinence.  In 2022 I was referred to Dr. Cori. My first appointment with Dr Cori brought hope that my incontinence could be improved and bleeding of the bowel could be fixed.  A plan was put in place. Firstly tried Metamucil - a great improvement. Pelvic floor exercises, nerve and muscle scan. A 2 week trial for a Sacral nerve stimulator was organised in Feb 2023, followed by permanent stimulator in late Feb 2023. SNS has improved the quality of my life, with the improvement of incontinence episodes”. -72F
